On June 9, 2026, the House Judiciary Committee held their second hearing attacking the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) in 3 weeks. Members of the Congressional Black Caucus and their colleagues pushed back with facts, using their time to defend SPLC and name what this hearing really is.

Bryan Fair, Interim President and CEO of the SPLC, testified before the House Judiciary Committee. This hearing is the latest attempt by the corrupt Trump Administration to silence their critics and whitewash extremism. Hauling in SPLC’s leadership isn’t about justice, it’s about intimidation.

This won’t stop with SPLC and they must be stopped in their tracks.

Together we stand with SPLC. black background with a black-and-white photo of civil-rights-era protestors with signs calling for voting rights, end to police brutality, etc., with a larger image of a modern young Black protestor with raised fist behind them
